Information for Families

Dear Tiger Families,

It was wonderful to see some of you join us for the Terry Fox Walk on Friday afternoon. The students walked around the neighbourhood cheering and celebrating Terry Fox's achievements. It was a fantastic opportunity to come together to support such an important cause. Thank you to all of the families who made a donation, as well as to Mrs. Dafoe for organizing this special event.

The School Advisory Council met for the first time the week of September 16th, 2025. The minutes of the meeting are attached below so that families can stay informed on the topics that are covered in the meetings.

We are looking forward to Literacy Week at Odessa. Thank you to everyone who sent in books for the book exchange on Thursday. Tomorrow is the last day to donate books for this event. The school is looking forward to welcoming so special guests to do readings this week. Don't forget to join us at Indigo on Friday night when I will be the guest reader.

Hot lunch is up and running through Lunchbox (instructions below). The funds raised through this lunch program go towards special activities in the school. Thank you in advance for supporting our school!

Odessa Public School Love of Reading Fundraiser

Our school was selected to participate in the Indigo Love of Reading Foundation's annual Adopt a School fundraiser! Every dollar raised in-store at Indigo Kingston between September 5 - October 5, 2025 will go DIRECTLY to our school to help fill our shelves with new and diverse books. Thank you so much for supporting our school and for helping to inspire a love of reading in our students! We are excited to be hosting a literacy week at Odessa to celebrate the final week of the Love of Reading Fundraiser. Please see the infographic below for a list of events.
